2) Gold Starstorm - Gold energy is charged through the Gold Power Staff, which is then fired straight up into the sky. It falls back to earth as up to a dozen small balls of gold energy.
Zord: Pyramidus
Zord Information: Pyramidus is built primarily for heavy hitting. Its primary arsenal comes from a large red jewel housed at what would be the pinnacle of the pyramid. It is also equipped for travel through space. Tough and durable, any attack classified as less than cataclysmic is merely shrugged off by this Zord. It also has the ability to house the five Zeo Zords and the Red Battlezord to deal out the finishing blow to any of the Machine Empire's monsters.

Additional Tidbits: It is rumored that the SPD Blue Ranger is the son of Jason.
Character's History: When one chronicles the history of Power Rangers, two names frequently pop into the discussion. The first is Tommy, the second is Jason.

Jason was the original Red Ranger (as part of team Mighty Morphin'). He led the original team of Billy, Zach, Trini and Kimberly into battle against some of the nastiest monsters sent by Rita Repulsa. His skills and his leadership were unparalleled. Then along came Tommy. Tommy and Jason battled to a draw during their first fight at a martial arts expo in Angel Grove. The two started out as friendly rivals. But then the Green Ranger appears, and it isn't until later that they learn Tommy is the Green Ranger, and is under Rita's control. After a long and arduous battle, Tommy was freed and team Mighty Morphin' rolled six Rangers deep.

This wouldn't last too long. The incident with the Green Candle forced Tommy to give his powers to Jason. They had been so weakened that they were safe, but were used as enhancements for the Red Ranger (such as Jason wearing the Dragon Shield and wielding the Dragon Dagger). With the arrival of Lord Zedd and the transition to the Thunder Zords, the Green Ranger's powers finally burned out, and Tommy was out of the Ranger picture.

Later, Zordon started the White Ranger project--an Earth-made Ranger whose powers would never fall into the hands of evil. Tommy was made the White Ranger, while at the same time, removing Jason from the leadership position in favor of the new White Ranger. This dejected Jason, but he held that back in favor of fighting alongside his best friend again. When the chance to travel to Switzerland on a youth peace conference, Jason was the first one to sign up. He, Zach and Trini left, transfering their powers to three newcomers, Rocky, Adam and Aisha, respectively.

Years passed, and after the peace conference, Jason hopped around Europe and Asia, honing his martial arts skills. Eventuall he returned home to Angel Grove, something Zach and Trini didn't do. He learned that the Power Coins were gone, and there was a new team of Power Rangers, team Zeo, led by Tommy. Jason longed for the days when he was a Power Ranger. Then fate intervened. A Trifornian named Trey arrived on Earth to aide team Zeo. Trey was the original Gold Ranger. When Trey began to lose control of his powers, he beseeched Zordon for help. He helped choose a new successor to the Gold Ranger's power. When it was discovered that Billy's negatively-charged ion-riddled form resisted the power, Jason was called up. Jason was back, this time as the Gold Ranger.

Unfortunately, he would end up suffering the same fate as Trey. His body began to break down under the strain of the Gold Ranger power, and he eventually had to return them to Trey. That was the last anyone really saw of Jason, as he became depressed after having to give up his powers again. He wandered around the country, continuing to sharpen his martial arts skills. Somewhere, in the back of his being, he yearns for the thrill of battle. And for a last, decisive battle with Tommy, to prove among the only people who matter in this world (Jason Scott and Tommy Oliver) who is the greatest Power Ranger. He kept in contact with a few of his old friends - namely Tommy, around the time of Operation: Forever Red - and their accomplishments as Power Rangers. Once a Power Ranger, always a Power Ranger. Jason is not long for staying idle, especially while the forces of evil continually plague decent people all over the world. The world will see the return of Jason. And when it does, evil beware.
